This room prepares children for their transition to formal schooling through a play-based curriculum approach. This room explores children’s interests through project-based work. Deepening children’s thinking, knowledge and thought processes, encouraging hypothesising, problem solving, inquiry and investigations are all key to learning in the preschool space.
As the pre-schoolers become very competent, capable and independent learners, we have a big emphasis on encouraging ownership by encouraging children to look after their own belongings.
Fundamental Movement Skills, cooperation, turn-taking and group collaboration are also a strong part of the preschool curriculum and are explored through literacy and numeracy group-times, play, games and quality equipment during indoor and outdoor play experience.
