The traditional African proverb tells us that, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This is supported by modern research that children need families, educators and communities to collectively support their healthy development and wellbeing.
Here at Mini-Skool, we value community partnerships. We empower our students, staff and families to have greater access to information, resources and support systems. This leads children towards developing a sense of belonging, identity and connectedness with the world around them.
We take excursions to nursing homes, libraries and parks. We participate in and contribute to community and charitable events. We invite community members and organisations into our services. These all help to connect Mini-Skool children with their broader community.
Community engagement is part of our every day experience at Mini-SKool.
