In an emergent curriculum, the sources of learning stem from the child, their educator and their interaction with the environment.
Spontaneity always has a place in an area where children play and learn. Plans are made weekly and daily based on children’s interests rather than month or term mapping in advance.
There is also a curriculum whereby the teacher plans settings in order to motivate, stimulate and excite the children in their learning. Both of these approaches at Mini-Skool are highly focused on the interests of the child with positive outcomes achieve from the reciprocal exchange between child and educator.
Learning is small and large group based, individually and through projects.
