Our Vision

Mini-Skool is a childcare of CHOICE for local families. It is a place where:

  • Each child is loved and respected for who they are
  • Children are valued for their meaningful work
  • Staff are valued for their enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment
  • Children’s learning and growth are intertwined and seen as one
  • Staff lay the foundation for caring relationships
  • Parents are valued as their child’s first advocate
  • We appreciate the child’s ability to play, learn and grow
  • We value each moment of each day

Our Mission

The mission of Mini-Skool is to provide a safe, loving, supportive and quality learning environments for families who require pre-school and long day care for the children. We aim to be a ‘home away from home’ where children can learn life skills and form trusting relationships with educators and peers.

We aim to meet the intellectual, physical, moral, social and emotional needs of each child to support them to become life-long learners and to build their self-confidence. Mini-Skool provides equal educational opportunities for all children.

Our Values

Our values are underpinned by the idea that our children and families are our major stakeholders. We endeavour to establish respectful and reciprocal partnerships with the children, their parents and the wider community. The Centre operates under the ideology of an open accountable communication plan between the families and the educators. Our work is inspired by children’s endless curiosity and their capacity for learning, exploration and play. The development of the “whole child” is our main objective.

We believe that educators are the pillars of our centre and they bring their own history, learning and teaching styles to provide quality education and care to every child. Here at Mini-Skool, we work as a team, respecting and acknowledging each educator’s strengths and ideas.

Our values encompass the principles of Early Childhood Education as specified within the Early Years Learning Framework - Belonging, Being and Becoming curriculum, our respect for each child as an individual and our belief in every child’s ability to succeed.

As Dr Seuss stated, “A person’s a person no matter how small”.
